Plug. See the need, fill the gap

What is Microenterprise Development?

  • Plug is a Microenterprise development organisation.
  • It is a provider of a broad range of microfinance services (savings, credit and insurance) and business development services (business training).
  • It seeks to enable the poor in operating their own businesses.

Why Christian Microenterprise development?

Plug as a Christian Microenterprise development organisation can impact in the following ways:

  • Enterprise Development: Plug will provide tools such as management, marketing, technology, and training to help local entrepreneurs establish and grow their businesses.
  • Alleviate Poverty: Plug sees the primary purpose of business for the poor is providing them with ways of transforming savings into ongoing income that can be used to enable their life.
  • Empowerment: Plug will provide training in areas such as team formation, leadership, and other development (literacy, health) which can help empower people.
  • Spiritual transformation: Plug will seek to facilitate relationships where evangelism and discipleship can occur. Plug will help build up the local church by broadening its vision, increasing the income of members, increasing the leadership skills of members and adding new believers.

The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of tiny pushes of each honest worker.
